My first introduction to Healthy Girls was in the summer of 2004 when my daughter Hannah began taking classes.  We both immediately fell in love with the program…and the owners!  It wasn’t long before I was working for them teaching classes and in 2007 I started my own Healthy Girls business.

Having my own Healthy Girls business has been such a blessing!  Not only do I love the program and believe in it wholeheartedly but having the flexibility to work around my life has been great!  I am able to hold classes when I want, where I want and how I want.  I can work as many or as few hours a week as I want.  Having children of my own this has been especially important.  I am able to be there for my family yet still have a rewarding career.  And best of all I am able to make money while doing all of this!

Although I am running my own business, I am far from alone!  Ann, Erin and Kathy have been there for me every step of the way.  Whether I have questions about a particular lesson or I need help with marketing I have never been on my own.  They are always a phone call or an email away and I truly appreciate everything they have done for me.  They really do want to help other women achieve their dreams.

When I found the opportunity with Healthy Girls I was very excited to bring such a great program to the area of Hampton Roads. The training and curriculum I received was extremely professional and comprehensive. The response from the recreation center and schools was incredible, a much needed activity in the community. Not only have I helped young girls feel better about themselves while building great relationships along the way I’ve had a chance to increase my income and work around my busy schedule. With 24 years experience in the fitness industry I can tell you there is no other program out there that can give you such a quick return of your investment and the ladies of healthy girls make it fun and easy. This is honestly a real deal.

My name is Lynne Smith and my daughter Amanda is a Healthy Girl......soon to be a Healthy Tween! Amanda in the past has been quite shy and kind of stayed to herself. Since becoming a Healthy Girl everyone, including her teachers and principal and other family members have said she has really come into her own. She is so much more confident and self-assured and really LOVES who she is. This is really important these days and it is really alot more difficult for young girls today to grow up and be proud of who they are. I think Healthy Girls has played a huge role in building my daughter's self esteem and confidence. She is a leader amongst her peers and I think what she has learned through Healthy Girls is a major contributor and will follow her throughout her life! THANKS HEALTHY GIRLS!!!!!!!!

My daughter was a healthy girl and later became a healthy tween.  Healthy girls is a great program that teaches young girls how to eat right, the importance of exercising, self esteem and meeting new friends. The teachers are great too. Autumn loved each and everyone of them. Each of them are sweet and are great working with the kids.

My daughter struggles with self-confidence so I enrolled her at Healthy Girls.  She learned that she is beautiful and unique inside and out.  She learned to respect and love herself.  I saw a new happiness in her after her classes at Healthy Girls.  She would come home and teach us the yoga moves and dances that she learned.  She also began to choose healthier snacks.  I love Healthy Girls and what it has done for my daughter!

I love Healthy Girls.  The music is jammin'.  We learned to cha-cha slide and the macarena.  I made a lot of new friends.  Learning to hula dance and making our own dance was so much fun.  I loved learning how to do yoga.  The teachers were so nice and so sweet to me.  They make exercising lots of fun.

In 5th grade I was hefty, not a good kind either. I had been taking ballet but at that time it was an extra curricular activity. I had problems with my weight at that time even more than usual, and infact I had problems just with being happy with myself. Always wanting to be perfect and pretty. It just didn't seem possible. Then over the summer my mom was told about Healthy Girls from her friend/hair client.
So one day I went. It was a Saturday and in a big department store. I remember everything so well. I was nervous at first but once they welcomed me I felt a little bit more at ease. I loved how people there were so kind and caring. I enjoyed every moment. Especially the end when we all sat and spoke about us, and what we like. Then we spoke about what was good for us. I had learned so much just from that one sitting that I was excited and I wanted to go back again the next weekend. I started going constantly, and for once I didn't constantly worry about my weight and being perfect. I was more wrapped up in being happy with myself as I am. Of course I started making wiser choices and I ended up losing weight while gaining confidence.
When 6th grade came around I was more serious about ballet. I realized that it was something I wanted to persue more and Healthy Girls surely helped me out with that. I was more motivated to do more things and as I went on taking both ballet and Healthy Girls I lost weight, gained knowledge in health, had other girls I could relate to, and had a strong happy concious. Of course all good things must come to an end.
I ended up having to stop Healthy Girls in order to persue dancing, but now that I think about it I stopped my self esteem from staying happy and where it needed to be. by the end of 7th grade I was sick of dancing and myself. I ended up quitting dance, but being invited back again to Healthy Girls for their grand opening in their building. I went to it and came back with a sense of feeling again. It  opened my eyes to a world of happiness and healthier emotion.
I'm now in 10th grade and i take karate. I push myself to do more each day and I am truly grateful that I joined because even years later I still know what to eat and what not to eat while knowing a healthy happiness in my emotions.
